There are over a dozen Ferrari’s stored at AutoVino in Menlo Park. This week, we’d like to highlight the pinnacle of modern Ferrari’s, the LaFerrari – a 949 horsepower prancing horse with beautiful vertical doors and a hybrid powertrain.
This beautiful, Argento Nurburgring Metallic LaFerrari sits next to the 2003 Ferrari Enzo (also in the same color).
In 2003, the Enzo was the top of line, ultra-exclusive Ferrari with a base price tag of $659,300 and a top speed of 217mph from the 660 horsepower V12 engine. 399 Enzos were made, the LaFerraris are limited to 499 units. 120 of those LaFerrari’s are in the United States, with at least three in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With pricing at $1.4 million, the LaFerrari gets its power from a 6.3-liter V12 mounted in the rear, with a redline of 9250rpm and 788 horsepower. A 7-speed dual clutch transmission connects the V12 to the 161 horsepower electric motor, creating a combined 949 horsepower of what feels like immediate power. All of its power is delivered to the ground via 345mm tires in the rear. The unique growl of the quad-exhaust setup can be instantly heard from anywhere in our facility, and standing close enough, you’ll feel it as well!
Every line on the LaFerrari is beautiful and elegant. Much like the 458 Italia, the car is very refined and it is clear that Ferrari chose both form and function for this model. The mirrors are almost a foot away from the door hinges and appear to “float.” The multi-tone front splitter not only adds beauty but it keeps the car stable at high speed.
Alongside the LaFerrari and Ferrari Enzo, we also store an aggressive F12 Berlinetta in the same paint scheme.
Come have a look!
